Manama, Bahrain – The Kingdom of Bahrain strongly condemned the Iranian attack targeting the State of Kuwait with missiles and drones, which was claimed by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps.

It stated that the attack constitutes a blatant violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty, security, and stability.

Furthermore, it contravenes the principles of good neighborliness and international law.

In an official statement, the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed the Kingdom’s full solidarity with the State of Kuwait.

It also declared its support for all measures taken by Kuwait to preserve

its sovereignty and national security in the face of escalating security threats.

Bahraini condemnation and solidarity with Kuwait

Bahrain emphasized its solidarity with Kuwait, both its government and people.

It affirmed that the security of the Gulf states is a shared priority.

Furthermore, it stated that any attack targeting a Gulf state constitutes a direct threat to the region’s security and stability.

The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs commended the readiness of the Kuwaiti armed forces

and their ability to effectively and efficiently repel the attack.

It stressed the importance of strengthening defense and security cooperation

among the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states to confront regional challenges.

Bahrain considered the use of missiles and drones in targeting Kuwait a dangerous escalation that threatens regional security.

In addition, it called upon the international community to take a firm stance against attacks

that target the sovereignty of states and the security of their people.

Escalating Gulf stances

Bahrain’s statement affirmed that the continuation of such attacks contravenes the rules of international law and the UN Charter. It also undermines efforts to promote de-escalation and stability in the region.

The Bahraini condemnation comes amidst a series of Gulf and Arab stances rejecting the attacks targeting Kuwait. Several countries issued statements affirming their full solidarity with Kuwait and their rejection of any hostile acts that threaten the security of the Gulf.

The past few hours have witnessed an escalation in official condemnations of the missile and drone attacks. Simultaneously, calls have intensified for reducing tensions and preserving the security and stability of the region.
