  • Iranian demands and Kuwait reserves the right to respond

Kuwait – The State of Kuwaiti, represented by the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs, expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the attacks targeting its territory with missiles and drones.

It affirmed that this escalation constitutes a blatant violation of its sovereignty

and territorial integrity and a direct threat to the security of civilians and vital infrastructure.

A firm rejection of escalation and violation of sovereignty

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that these developments come

at a time when regional and international efforts are intensifying to reduce tensions in the region.

The Ministry added that the attacks constitute a grave violation of international law and the UN Charter.

It also stressed that their continuation undermines diplomatic efforts aimed at preserving regional security and stability.

The Ministry clarified that Kuwait categorically rejects any attempts to impose

a new security reality by force or to target the territory of any state.

Iranian demands and Kuwait reserves the right to respond

The Ministry called on the Islamic Republic of Iran to immediately and unconditionally cease its attacks,

holding it fully responsible for the repercussions of this escalation.

It noted that the continuation of these operations poses a direct threat

to regional stability and further complicates the security situation in the region.

The statement emphasized that the State of Kuwait reserves its full right to take all necessary measures

to preserve its security and defend its territory and vital installations,

in accordance with Article 51 of the Charter of the United Nations.

The Ministry affirmed that this inherent right is inalienable in the face of any threat or aggression.

It also called on the international community to assume its

responsibilities in halting the escalation and preventing the spread of tensions.
