Kirkuk, Iraq – The Iraqi Joint Operations Command officially announced the success of its brave forces in eliminating ISIS elements Iraq within the Kirkuk governorate. Consequently, a strategic hideout belonging to the terrorist group was completely destroyed in the northern region. This qualitative operation was executed through precise airstrikes carried out by the Iraqi Air Force. Furthermore, these attacks fall under ongoing national efforts to hunt down the remnants of extremist cells. Therefore, the state aims to reinforce long-term security and stability across all governorates. As a result, military units are working tirelessly to prevent any hostile actions by these defeated groups.

High-Level Intelligence Coordination Leads to Eliminating ISIS Elements Iraq

On the other hand, security officials explained that the aerial bombardment followed continuous and meticulous technical surveillance. Specifically, the Military Intelligence Directorate tracked highly suspicious movements of extremists inside a secretive rural location. Based on this, intelligence revealed that this specific hideout was utilized for plotting terrorist attacks against innocent civilians. Therefore, the focused strikes resulted in the total eradication of the targeted position. In addition, military sources confirmed the immediate deaths of four prominent leaders present inside the camp. Technical teams are currently analyzing identities and gathering remaining physical evidence at the site.

Proactive Sweep Campaigns Secure Vital Infrastructure

In addition, elite units and the Counter-Terrorism Service are launching sweeping proactive campaigns across complex geographical sectors. These forces are currently moving along multiple axes to guarantee total territorial clearance. Moreover, these strict defensive plans aim to prevent the shattered organization from reforming its local networks. Consequently, the army focuses on denying terrorists any opportunity to regain operational initiative on the ground. These ground sweeps are heavily concentrated in rugged mountain ranges and deep valleys like Wadi al-Shay. In these harsh environments, fleeing gangs attempt to use rough terrain to evade aerial surveillance. Similarly, these routine patrols help secure critical oil pipelines and energy infrastructure throughout Kirkuk.

Military Assessment Outlines Drastic Reduction in Capabilities

In the same context, military experts and observers believe that sustained offensive operations have yielded excellent strategic results. This continuous pressure has successfully contributed to a drastic reduction in the group’s combat and logistical capabilities. Although isolated cells still attempt to carry out sporadic hit-and-run attacks, high military readiness consistently neutralizes them. Based on this, the close security partnership between different military branches has significantly fortified urban safety. Ultimately, this comprehensive approach ensures Iraq’s capability to preserve its national sovereignty and internal stability in the coming period.
