Dubai, UAE – The Dubai Chamber of Commerce, in cooperation with the branch of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry in North Al Batinah Governorate, organized a dialogue symposium. To enhance logistics cooperation between the business communities in Dubai and Oman. In the presence of more than 360 representatives of private sector companies.

According to a press release, the symposium witnessed an open dialogue to discuss emerging opportunities and ways to enhance joint cooperation. To develop effective solutions that support companies’ ability to deal with emerging challenges in global supply chains. To support the smooth flow of intra-trade.

Enhancing the flexibility of intra-trade

Officials from Sohar Port, Oman Logistics Centre, and Logistics City in the Sultanate of Oman participated in the symposium. The General Administration of Customs of the Royal Oman Police, in addition to companies specialized in transportation and shipping services in the Sultanate of Oman. In addition to representatives of a number of companies operating in Dubai within a variety of business sectors.

The symposium is being organized as part of the Dubai Chambers’ efforts to enhance the flexibility of intra-trade with the Sultanate of Oman. At the beginning of this month, a delegation from the chambers visited Sohar State in North Al Batinah Governorate. During the visit, a meeting was held with the branch of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry in North Al Batinah Governorate. This aims to develop bilateral working mechanisms to foster cooperation between the business communities in Dubai and Sohar in various priority sectors. Which contributes to building qualitative opportunities for companies and enhancing the growth of trade exchange.

Enhancing prospects for economic and trade cooperation

The delegation of chambers also visited Sohar Industrial Port, in addition to Sohar Industrial City “Madain”. During the visit, discussions were held on enhancing the flow of goods and merchandise, raising the efficiency of inter-supply chains, and developing logistical integration between Dubai and Sohar. Which contributes to achieving common development goals.

These efforts fall within the framework of Dubai Chambers’ commitment to enhancing prospects for economic and trade cooperation between Dubai and countries around the world. Building qualitative paths for high-level cooperation and developing bilateral relations between the Dubai business community and its counterparts in global markets. Which contributes to supporting strategic partnerships and enhancing sectoral integration.
