Tehran, Iran – The Iranian Ministry of Health revealed in a report (day 37 of military operations) a tragic toll of total casualties and the massive destruction affecting the country’s health sector, confirming that Tehran and Hormozgan provinces topped the list of the most affected areas in terms of deaths and injuries.
Shocking Figures.. Women and Children in the Line of Fire
According to official statistics published by Fars News Agency, the civilian death toll reached unprecedented levels, with 4,721 women and 1,917 children under the age of 18 among the injured, including 68 infants under the age of two.
As for fatalities, 251 women and 216 children were reported killed, clearly indicating that strikes were concentrated in populated areas. The latest attack targeted a residential neighborhood in the city of Qom (central Iran), resulting in 5 deaths.
Collapse of the Health System.. 8 Hospitals Out of Service
In a serious development threatening a complete collapse of medical capabilities, the Iranian Ministry of Health announced the full evacuation of 8 hospitals after they were hit or located in dangerous conflict zones.
Field damages also included 216 health centers and 46 specialized medical units, targeting of 54 emergency centers, destruction of 41 ambulances, and the performance of more than 1,200 urgent surgeries under exceptional conditions.

Medical staff were not spared from frontline targeting, as the report announced the killing of 24 healthcare personnel and the injury of 117 paramedics and doctors while performing their humanitarian duties, placing immense pressure on the remaining medical workforce amid the continued influx of wounded and the escalating pace of military operations, with the coming hours expected to bring further bloody developments.
