Kuwait – Kuwait – The Kuwait National Guard announced that it successfully shot down two drones and one unmanned aerial vehicle within the past 24 hours. This was part of ongoing monitoring and protection operations for Kuwaiti airspace. It occurred amid escalating tensions in the region.

The Kuwait National Guard explained that the aerial targets were handled with high professionalism after being detected through advanced surveillance systems. Their paths were tracked precisely before interception. Interception and neutralization were achieved without any losses or damage on the ground.

It added that these operations were the result of full readiness and tight coordination among various military and security agencies. This ensured rapid response to any potential threat, especially amid the growing use of drones in offensive and reconnaissance operations.

This move reflects a high level of alert within Kuwait, amid a tense regional environment. The region is witnessing an increase in unconventional aerial attacks that rely heavily on low-cost, high-impact unmanned aircraft.

Authorities also stressed the continued elevation of preparedness levels and the strengthening of air defense capabilities and monitoring technologies to address modern threats. This would ensure the protection of airspace and vital facilities. It would also ensure the safety of citizens and residents.

Observers believe that the recurrence of such incidents reflects clear shifts in the nature of security threats in the region. In this context, drones have become a primary tool in conflicts. Therefore, countries must develop more advanced and flexible defensive strategies to counter them.
