Abu Dhabi, UAE – UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held a phone call on Sunday with Syrian President Ahmad Al-Sharaa to discuss bilateral relations and ways to enhance cooperation and joint work in a manner that serves their mutual interests.
Both sides emphasized the importance of developing the longstanding fraternal relations between the United Arab Emirates and Syria, in a way that benefits both nations, stressing continued coordination across areas of mutual interest.
Strengthening Bilateral Relations
Ahmad Al-Sharaa stressed his country’s pride in the fraternal ties with the United Arab Emirates, affirming the commitment to enhancing and developing joint cooperation to serve both nations’ interests and strengthen regional stability.

Both sides pointed to the dangers of continued attacks targeting civilians, facilities, and infrastructure, considering them violations of state sovereignty, international law, and the Charter of the United Nations, and calling for international action to contain escalation.
