Beirut, Lebanon – Sources have revealed that Hezbollah losses in Lebanon have exceeded 400 fighters since the latest clashes with Israel began in early March. These figures come as air and ground operations continue to escalate. Furthermore, the situation reflects a growing intensity in the conflict. The fighting is spreading across wider areas in southern Lebanon.

Initial Casualty Estimates

This figure represents the first overall estimate of Hezbollah losses in Lebanon since the current campaign started. Previously, the group released only scattered statements. It did not provide a total number. In addition, the available data suggests that military operations are still increasing. Therefore, the number of casualties may rise in the coming days.

Conflicting Figures Between Sides

In contrast, the Israeli army stated that more than 700 fighters have been killed. It added that hundreds belong to the elite Radwan force. On the other hand, this number is higher than the estimates from informed sources. As a result, the gap highlights conflicting narratives from both sides about actual losses on the ground.

Wider Human Losses in Lebanon

Lebanon’s Health Ministry reported that 1,142 people have been killed. This number includes 122 children, 83 women, and 42 medical workers. Meanwhile, the figures do not clearly separate civilians from fighters. However, the Israeli army confirmed that one soldier and one officer were seriously injured. It also reported four soldiers killed earlier.

In conclusion, Hezbollah losses in Lebanon are likely to increase as fighting continues. Thus, the situation remains highly unstable. Finally, analysts warn that ongoing escalation could worsen the humanitarian crisis and deepen regional tensions.
