Beijing, China – A spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry said today (Thursday) that China strongly opposes the US Department of Defense (Pentagon) report.
He distorts Beijing’s defense policies and seeks to stir up discord between it and other countries.
This is intended to justify the United States’ attempts to maintain its military dominance.
Spokesperson Lin Jian made these remarks at a regular press conference in response to a related inquiry.
This is regarding the American report that is working to stir up trouble between China and India.
Lin said that “China views and deals with its relations with India
from a strategic and long-term perspective.”
He added that Beijing is ready to strengthen communication,
consolidate mutual trust, and enhance cooperation.
Dealing appropriately with disagreements with India, in a way
that contributes to pushing bilateral relations towards a sound and stable path.
The spokesperson explained that the border issue is a matter between Beijing and India,
and that the current border situation between the two countries is generally stable.
With smooth communication channels, he added that China opposes baseless
and irresponsible comments made by countries concerned.
