Tehran, Iran – The Iranian judiciary’s media center announced that criminal charges have been filed against Faezeh Hashemi Rafsanjani, daughter of the former Iranian president. This comes in response to statements she made in an online interview, which the judiciary deemed an “unsubstantiated account” of her father’s death.

The lawsuit also included the producer and presenter of the program that broadcast the interview, and all parties involved were summoned to the Attorney General’s office to provide explanations.

This action comes after Faezeh Hashemi, in an unprecedented interview, accused Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei of being behind her father’s death. She asserted that the incident was not a natural death but a political assassination within the Iranian regime.

This lawsuit is part of the ongoing political struggle within the Iranian regime. It comes amid widespread controversy surrounding Rafsanjani’s death and tensions between different factions within the government.
