Tel Aviv, Israel – The Israeli intelligence agency Mossad revealed in an official statement the identity of the leader of the Iranian terrorist network in Western countries. It confirmed that Iranian General Sardar Ammar is responsible for commanding Unit 11000 of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps.
According to a statement issued by the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office, Ammar operates under the supervision of Esmail Qaani, commander of the Quds Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps. According to information provided by Mossad, this network was responsible for numerous failed attempts to attack Israeli and Jewish targets. These attacks occurred in three countries—Australia, Germany, and Greece—over the past year.
The statement confirmed that the attacks had been previously thwarted, prompting the Australian government to expel the Iranian ambassador over these activities. It also noted that Iran sought to avoid accountability by using foreign mercenaries and criminals to carry out its attacks.
For his part, Mossad Director David Barnea emphasized that Israel possesses powerful intelligence capabilities inside Iran, noting that these capabilities have yet to be fully utilized. Barnea indicated that Israel will continue to confront Iranian threats in all possible ways, including intelligence operations inside Iran itself.
In a related context, some Israeli security experts said that Mossad has intensified its intelligence activities in Iran. A report by the Jerusalem Post stated that dozens of Mossad agents entered Iranian territory to participate in field operations during attacks on Iranian nuclear and missile facilities.
These developments come at a sensitive time for relations between Iran and Israel, amid escalating regional tensions and Iranian moves in the Middle East.
