Pakistan – Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif received the Secretary-General of the Muslim World League, Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, in the capital, Islamabad.
During the meeting, ways to enhance cooperation between Pakistan and the League were discussed. The meeting focused on promoting the values of moderation, combating extremism, and strengthening inter-Islamic relations.
The two sides emphasized the pivotal role played by the Muslim World League in unifying Islamic ranks and promoting interfaith and intercultural dialogue, thus contributing to the consolidation of security, peace, and development in the Islamic world.
