This is about the latest developments in the peace plan for the Gaza Strip launched by US President Donald Trump.

Italy calls for peace in Gaza under international supervision

Tajani confirmed that Italy is ready to participate in an international stabilization force in the Gaza Strip, as stipulated in Trump’s peace plan.

He explained that the situation in Gaza requires “liberation from the nightmare of Hamas.”

and place it under temporary international control with the aim of achieving a genuine Palestinian state,

Noting that the Palestinian Authority will be primarily responsible for administering this state,

while ensuring that it is not sectarian or discriminatory. He also stressed that Italy,

Trump’s plan: a historic turning point in the Middle East

Regarding Trump’s peace plan, Tayani believes that the success of this initiative could mark a historic turning point in the Middle East.

It will lead to significant changes in Mediterranean security, with consequent political and diplomatic repercussions.

However, Tayani stressed that this plan is still “hanging by a thread.”

Many crucial aspects remain undefined, such as the return of the bodies of dead hostages and the dismantling of Hamas’ military structure.

Despite the challenges, Tayani expressed optimism, saying, “There is hope thanks to the strong will of the people of the region

who have suffered from this long-standing conflict and are looking forward to an end to this tragedy.”

Italy’s role in supporting dialogue and development

Tajani added that Italy continues to support sustained dialogue between Israel and the Palestinian Authority.

With the aim of alleviating the suffering of Palestinian civilians and achieving a lasting solution that includes two states living in peace.

He said Italy is working hard to support the rebuilding of Gaza.

Similar to the conference I organized in Rome to support the reconstruction of Ukraine.

Tayani also stressed the importance of sustainable economic development in Gaza

He confirmed that Italy would contribute its extensive expertise in the areas of reconstruction and infrastructure.

This contributes to the stability and well-being of the people of Gaza.

Anti-Semitism and the need to combat it On another note, Tayani addressed the phenomenon of anti-Semitism.

Considering it “brutal fanaticism” that must be fought by all means.

He said Italy is committed to fighting this hostility at the international level.

He pointed out that democratic systems must make combating anti-Semitism a priority in their foreign policies.

Tayani also referred to the attack on Italian police officers in Udine by extremists supporting the PAL party.

Those who tried to prevent the soccer match between Italy and Israel from taking place,

He expressed his full solidarity with the Italian police and the journalists who were injured in the incident.

Solidarity with the victims of the bombings

In his speech, Tajani also mentioned the three Italian Carabinieri officers who were killed in an explosion in Verona while searching a house.

Considering that this incident serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by security personnel in order to maintain order,

Expressing his deep appreciation for their sacrifices.

New hope for peace in Gaza

In the end, Tayani said he’s super optimistic about Gaza’s future.

Referring to the images of hope that appeared in the eyes of Gaza’s children as they celebrated after the ceasefire,

The same was true for the Israeli eyes that saw their loved ones again after years of captivity.

The minister emphasized that this day marks the beginning of real change in the peace process in the region.

He noted that Italy would continue to play its part in supporting a just and lasting solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
