The United Nations said on Friday that 1,373 Palestinians have been killed while waiting for aid in Gaza since late May.

The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights announced on Friday that 1,373 Palestinians were killed, most of them by Israeli army fire, while waiting for aid in the Gaza Strip, whose population has been suffering from severe food shortages since late May.

The United Nations Office for the Palestinian Territories said in a statement that “in total, since May 27, at least 1,373 Palestinians have been killed while trying to obtain food, 859 of them in the vicinity of the sites of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation supported by the United States and Israel, and 514 along Food convoy routes”, adding that “most of these killings were committed by the Israeli army”.

Medical sources in the Gaza Strip said earlier on Friday that the number of “aid martyrs” who arrived at hospitals during the past 24 hours reached 91 martyrs and more than 666 injuries.

The total number of people injured for a living who arrived at hospitals rose to more than 8,818 wounded and injured.. Medical sources also indicated that during the past 24 hours, 111 dead and 820 injured people arrived at Gaza Strip hospitals.

Thus, the death toll from the Israeli aggression rose to 60,249 dead and 147,089 injured since October 7, 2023. The death toll and injuries from March 18, 2025 until today reached 9,081 dead and 35,048 injured.

A number of victims are still under the rubble and on the roads, where ambulance and civil defense crews are unable to reach them so far.
