Cairo, Egypt – Actors Hesham Maged and Hannah El Zahed are preparing to embark on a new cinematic project with the film *Malik Al-Ghaba* (King of the Jungle). The film is a comedy that relies on a series of humorous situations and ironic twists involving the main characters.
Filming begins at the end of September.
Hesham Maged and Hannah El Zahed are scheduled to begin filming the movie’s opening scenes late next September, coinciding with ongoing final preparations, the casting of the remaining lead actors, and the selection of filming locations, in anticipation of the official start of production.
“King of the Jungle” marks the third collaboration between Hesham Maged and Hannah El Zahed, following their success in several previous projects. Written by Fady Abu El-Saoud, directed by Mariam Abu Ouf, and produced by Ahmed El-Sobky, the film is expected to showcase a unique comedic dynamic between the two stars.
A new collaboration following “A Interval of Delightful Moments”
Hesham Maged and Hannah El Zahed had previously collaborated on the film *Fasil min al-Lahzat al-Ladhidha* (A Break of Delightful Moments), which was released during the 2024 Eid al-Fitr season and achieved popular success. The film—a social comedy blended with fantasy—revolved around a series of situations bringing the characters together.
The duo also starred in the film *A Few Hours One Day*—based on a novel by Mohamed Sadek—which featured a collection of intertwined stories and characters, exploring romantic relationships from various perspectives.
Hesham Maged continues his artistic activities.
Meanwhile, Hesham Maged continues his artistic endeavors; he is preparing to shoot a new 10-episode series—tentatively titled *Amel Mayyit*—which is scheduled to air on a digital platform.
The series co-stars Hatem Salah and is written by Ahmed Mohamady and directed by Khaled El-Halafawy. Through this project, Hesham Maged continues to present works that blend comedy with various situations, all while preparing for the film *Malek El-Ghaba* (King of the Forest).
