Baghdad, Iraq – Iraqi musician and conductor Abdul Razzaq Al-Azzawi passed away on Thursday at Al-Kindi Teaching Hospital in Baghdad, following a health crisis he suffered earlier this week, bringing to a close a distinguished artistic career spanning decades.

The Artists’ Syndicate mourns him.

The Iraqi Artists Syndicate mourned the deceased in an official statement, which read: “With deep sorrow and grief, the Iraqi Artists Syndicate mourns the passing of artist Abdul Razzaq Al-Azzawi, who passed away today,” extending sincere condolences and sympathy to his family, admirers, and colleagues in the artistic community.
