The “Echo of Naima” concert, which was scheduled to take place on July 10 in Casablanca, in honor of the late artist Naima Samih and to celebrate her great artistic career, has been cancelled.

Moroccan artist Shaimaa Abdel Aziz announced the cancellation of the concert in a video posted on her official Instagram account, explaining that the decision to cancel came as a result of failing to reach an agreement with the organizers regarding some details of the event.
He declined to reveal details of the dispute.
Shaimaa Abdel Aziz confirmed that she preferred not to disclose the nature of the dispute out of respect for all parties, stressing her full appreciation for everyone who contributed to the preparations for the concert during the past period.
A message to the public and fans of Naima Samih
The Moroccan artist expressed her deep respect for the audience who were eagerly awaiting the concert, noting her commitment to presenting an event befitting the name of the late artist and her significant place in the history of Moroccan song. She added that the “Echoes of Naïma” concert project has not been definitively canceled, but rather postponed to a later date once the appropriate conditions are in place to organize it in a manner that reflects Naïma Samih’s artistic and human value.
Details of the upcoming ceremony
The concert was scheduled to take place at the “Theater of Living Arts” in Casablanca under the slogan “Echoes of Naïma… A Timeless Voice That Never Fades,” where a selection of Naïma Samih’s most famous songs were planned to be performed by Shaimaa Abdelaziz, in an attempt to revive Moroccan musical heritage with a contemporary spirit while preserving its authenticity.
