Cairo, Egypt – Actress Menna Shalaby is nearing the end of filming her new series “Anbar Al-Mawt” (Death Ward), in preparation for its release on a digital platform outside of the Ramadan season. The series is a suspenseful drama inspired by real events dating back to the 1970s.
Filming is almost over
Menna Shalaby continues filming her latest drama series, “Anbar Al-Mawt” (Death Ward), which is scheduled to wrap up after Eid al-Adha, in preparation for its release outside of the Ramadan 2027 season. The series is a different experience in terms of both form and content, relying on mystery and psychological suspense.

- Menna Shalaby finished filming the majority of her scenes for the project during the past period, before resuming filming recently after a short break due to personal circumstances. The crew will move to Alexandria next week to film a number of exterior scenes amidst intensive preparations. The series’ creators will take a break during Eid al-Adha and will resume filming later.
A story full of mystery and suspense
The series revolves around the character of “Nadia,” played by Menna Shalaby, a nurse working in a hospital, who finds herself accused in a mysterious murder case related to the deaths of several patients. Her life then transforms into a series of investigations and accusations that threaten her future and freedom, all within a suspenseful and mysterious psychological framework.
Throughout its episodes, the series reveals shocking developments, as the case transforms from a mere individual accusation into a larger file concerning suspicions of attempted murders of more than 30 patients, opening the door to a series of surprises and complex investigations that uncover the secrets of the hospital and its mysterious inner workings.

The work is directed by Karim El Shenawy, with writing supervision by writer Mariam Naoum, while the screenplay and dialogue were written by Paula Thabet, Salma Abdel Wahab and Hussein Hossam, and produced by Tarek Nour Studios, in a collaboration that aims to present a dramatic experience based on intense suspense and psychological thrills.
