Moscow, Russia – A technology event in the Russian capital, Moscow, witnessed a funny

and controversial incident, after the first Russian humanoid robot collapsed on stage.

This was just seconds after he appeared before the public at his first official performance.

According to the British newspaper “Daily Mail”, the robot is named “Aldol”

He appeared during the New Technology Alliance Forum on Tuesday,

It is an event dedicated to showcasing the latest innovations in the robotics sector in Russia.

Lift the robot and repair it

A video circulating online shows the moment the robot went on stage to the tune

of the famous Rocky movie song Gonna Fly Now.

As he was waving to the audience, he suddenly lost his balance and fell heavily to the ground.

This caused it to break into several pieces, to the astonishment of those present.

However, they were forced to cover it with a black cloth after failing to get it working again.

The footage showed that the fabric itself became entangled with parts of the robot,

which continued to move randomly on the ground.

Developing humanoid robots

Aidol is a project developed by Aidol Robotics.

This is in collaboration with a number of Russian technology companies,

including Promobot and Robot Corporation.

This is part of an alliance that is trying to develop advanced humanoid

robots capable of interacting and communicating with humans.

The incident sparked a wave of ridicule and sarcastic

comments across social media platforms.

While others saw it as a reminder of the significant challenges

still facing the humanoid robotics industry in its early stages,

This is despite the rapid technological progress in the field

of artificial intelligence and interactive robots.
