Khor Fakkan, UAE – Khor Fakkan achieved its first victory in the UAE Pro League, after defeating its guest Al Dhafra by two goals to nil, in the match that was held at Saqr Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi Stadium, as part of the third round of competitions.
Ahmed Jashk and Ammar Traore scored Khorfakkan’s goals in the 51st and 64th minutes, bringing the team’s tally to 3 points and placing them in ninth position, while Al Dhafra remained without points in last place.
The first half ended in a goalless draw, with few dangerous opportunities from either side, despite Al Dhafra having the advantage in possession with 55.3% compared to 44.7% for Khorfakkan.
Khorfakkan had the most shots, with their players launching two attempts, including one shot on goal, while Al Dhafra did not score any shots on the home team’s goal.
After a strong start to the second half, Ahmed Jashk opened the scoring for Khorfakkan in the 51st minute, after receiving the ball inside the penalty area and dribbling past the Al Dhafra defender before shooting it into the net.
Al Dhafra responded quickly in search of an equalizer, but Khorfakkan goalkeeper Ahmed Hamdan saved Mohammed Al Khalawi’s header in the 56th minute.
Substitute Ammar Traore added the second goal in the 64th minute, after a quick attack of 3 passes, which he finished with a shot into Al Dhafra’s goal.

Hamdan shone again in the 71st minute, after saving his goal from a dangerous chance for Al Dhafra, while the visitors’ crossbar stopped Youssef Al Ameri’s shot in the 77th minute.
In stoppage time, Khorfakkan were denied a third goal after Al Dhafra’s goalkeeper and defender saved a sure chance, and the match ended with the home team winning 2-0.
