Dubai, UAE – The Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, one of three chambers operating under the umbrella of the Dubai Chambers, has successfully supported the launch of 32 new digital applications in the markets. Through the “App Innovation Acceleration Program”, dedicated to supporting high-potential startups within the “App Innovation Competition” system. This achievement confirms the initiative’s success in transforming promising ideas into integrated digital applications and enhancing Dubai’s innovation ecosystem.

According to a press release, 60% of the applications launched through the program use artificial intelligence technologies. This reflects efforts to support the adoption of these advanced technologies by the private sector in Dubai and enhance their use in developing innovative digital solutions. This also embodies the program’s role in enabling entrepreneurs and innovators to harness the potential of artificial intelligence to develop more efficient applications capable of meeting the needs of markets and users. Which contributes to accelerating the pace of digital innovation in Dubai.

Application Innovation Competition

The Application Innovation Acceleration Program is an intensive 45-day technical program within the Application Innovation Competition. It aims to support startups in transforming promising application ideas into products ready to be put on the market. This year brought together participants from 22 countries representing 13 different sectors.

Through structured process stages, specialized guidance, and direct practical support, the participating teams succeeded in developing application prototypes compatible with the iOS and Android systems. Preparing for its successful launch through the App Store and Google Play.

This year, the Application Innovation Acceleration Program provided more than 170 hours of individual guidance and counseling, and included six specialized workshops led by experts. It covered pivotal topics such as UI/UX experience and interface design, product market position, compliance, and application scaling. This represents a significant expansion compared to the previous version of the program, which provided 140 hours of mentoring to 24 teams.

various sectors

The 32 launched applications embody a variety of innovative solutions within various sectors, led by the education sector, followed by the healthcare sector, reflecting a strong focus on solutions that enhance quality of life and knowledge.

The remaining applications were distributed across other sectors, including financial technology, artificial intelligence, social media, and real estate.

The program attracted a distinguished elite of creatives representing 22 countries, including the UAE, Egypt, India, Yemen, and Jordan, reflecting Dubai’s great appeal to aspiring entrepreneurs from around the world.

The App Innovation Accelerator Program is intended for participants who have not yet qualified for the final stages of the App Innovation Competition, enhancing entrepreneurs’ ability to benefit from training and mentoring to launch their projects.

The program contributes to enhancing the impact of the broader “Apply in Dubai” initiative, which continues to receive thousands of applications, driving the growth of the application development sector in the region.
