Abu Dhabi, UAE – Hatta FC officially secured their promotion to the UAE Pro League after a crucial 3-1 victory over Majd FC in their match on Friday evening. The game was part of the final round of the First Division league.
The match was held at Tahnoun Bin Mohammed Stadium in Al Ain (also known as Al Qattara Stadium). Hatta finished the season at the top of the league table and also won the First Division title.
Guilherme Castro opened the scoring for Hatta in the 42nd minute. Samuel Rosa then extended the lead with a second goal at the start of the second half in the 47th minute. After that, Shevet Sheveti added the third goal in the 68th minute, while Abdullah Al Hammadi scored Majd’s only goal in the 81st minute.
Hatta increased their points tally to 59, maintaining their lead at the top of the table. This secured them the second promotion spot to the Pro League. Meanwhile, Majd’s relegation to the second division was confirmed after they remained on 21 points, second from bottom.
Hatta benefited from United’s 2-0 defeat to Al Hamriya. United remain on 58 points in second place, while Al Hamriya climbed to ninth with 38 points.
Hatta’s achievement wasn’t limited to securing promotion; they also won the First Division title. Thus, they combined promotion with championship glory in a remarkable season for the team.
Hatta joined United, who had already secured the first promotion spot to the UAE Pro League. This officially completes the list of promoted teams for the new season.
This marks Hatta’s fourth promotion to the UAE Pro League. They previously qualified in the 2015-2016, 2019-2020, and 2023-2024 seasons, but were quickly relegated each time. However, they managed to return again in the 2025-2026 season.
