Abu Dhabi, UAE – Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, received a phone call today from Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation,
during which they discussed various aspects of cooperation and joint work
to enhance the strategic partnership between the two countries and achieve its goals at all levels.
Strategic partnership and bilateral cooperation
During the call, the two sides discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations between the UAE and Russia,
stressing the importance of developing cooperation in the economic, political and investment fields,
and working to develop partnership mechanisms in a way that achieves the common interests of the two countries and enhances regional stability.
humanitarian mediation efforts
The Russian President expressed his thanks and appreciation to the President of the UAE for the UAE’s continued mediation efforts,
especially with regard to prisoner exchanges between Russia and Ukraine, noting the significant humanitarian impact of these initiatives
and the importance of continuing mediation efforts to achieve tangible results on the ground.
Regional and international issues
During the call, the two sides reviewed a number of regional and international issues of common interest,
including the latest developments in the Middle East and their impact on regional and international peace
and security, freedom of international navigation, energy security, and the global economy,
stressing the importance of joint coordination to confront global challenges and enhance international stability.
