Abu Dhabi, UAE – The Chinese company “Rox Motors” confirmed that it is working on manufacturing its cars in the UAE. As a pioneering step to enhance the localization of the automotive industry, and to prepare specialized citizen cadres in this field. Noting that in 2026, Rooks launched the first advanced center for manufacturing with artificial intelligence. In 2028, it intends to launch the second generation of the Rox, expanding its product range to four models. In 2030, the annual production capacity will reach 300,000 units, contributing to supporting the gross domestic product with a value of 30 billion dirhams.
Advisor to the CEO of Rox Motors, Hisham Abdel Raouf, said that the company has a plan to increase production in the coming months. It is currently focusing on producing one model (ROX 01), with a future focus on adding new and distinguished models, as part of its strategy aimed at consolidating the automotive industry in the UAE, which is a promising global market from which to launch other markets.
Strengthening presence in the Middle East
On the sidelines of the Make in the Emirates 2026 Forum, Abdul Raouf added that “choosing the UAE as a regional manufacturing, logistics and marketing center came within the framework of the company’s efforts to enhance its presence in the Middle East and Africa regions.” Benefiting from the encouraging investment climate, strategic geographical location, in addition to the advanced infrastructure and technological progress provided by the UAE. He explained that the future is moving towards electric cars, a trend supported by governments, as sales of this type of car are witnessing increasing annual growth. With expectations that it will reach about 30% of the market size by 2030, and may even reach 70% within the next ten years.

He added that what distinguishes Rox is its commitment to sustainable innovation, as it works to develop smart and environmentally friendly solutions that keep pace with the global trend towards a more sustainable future. Rox cars rely on modern technology known as ReEV. It is a combination of electricity and gasoline, as this technology allows the car to travel a distance of up to 1,226 kilometers on a single charge, with a battery capacity of 56 kilowatts. With the ability to recharge the battery using gasoline, which is used for this purpose and not to move the car directly.
He revealed that Rox Motors has opened a new support center in the Jebel Ali area, as an operational base that contributes to providing fast and reliable solutions to consumers. This ensures the rapid delivery of spare parts, as the delivery time for parts to maintenance centers within the UAE does not exceed one day, and four days to the rest of the region.
