Abu Dhabi, UAE – Abu Dhabi announced the launch of a global awareness campaign about autism spectrum disorder under the slogan “Smile… Your smile is enough to make them happy.”
This announcement was made at the conclusion of the 4th International Autism Conference 2026,
under the patronage of Sheikha Moza bint Suhail.
The conference also saw wide participation from relevant organizations and people of determination.
Empowering people with autism as ambassadors
The campaign relies on engaging individuals with autism spectrum disorder as key ambassadors to share their experiences and inspiring stories.
This initiative aims to enhance societal understanding of their abilities and potential.
The campaign also includes the launch of a digital platform that allows individuals
and organizations to join and contribute to spreading the message widely.
Community initiatives and activities
The campaign includes a series of interactive events and activities, such as field visits to schools and universities,
and the organization of training programs and support sessions.
In addition, the campaign is producing digital awareness content and launching the “Autism Voices” platform.
These steps contribute to building a supportive and sustainable community network.
Strategic orientation towards globalization
Officials affirmed that the campaign represents a significant step forward,
launching from Abu Dhabi to the world, with plans for international expansion in 2027.
This also reflects the emirate’s position as a leading center for empowering people of determination.
They further emphasized that the initiative translates the outcomes of scientific conferences
into practical programs that raise awareness and foster a culture of acceptance.
It also supports the integration of individuals with autism into society,
contributing to improving their quality of life and the lives of their families.
