China.. Judo player qualifies for Grand Slam lightweight final

BEIJING, China – UAE national judo team player Bashirat Khordi qualified today for the U-52kg lightweight final at the opening of the China Grand Slam. Which is held with the participation of 197 male and female players from 19 countries.

Khordi, ranked first in this weight class, qualified by defeating Hyang Jung, the Republic of Korea player, in the semi-finals. After a strong fight and exciting competition to secure qualification to the final.

The national team will play 5 matches on Friday, starting with the match between player Maitha Al Neyadi and Hyun Kim, the champion of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, ranked second in the “under 57 kg” group. Then, the player Mohammed Bey, “under 73 kg”, ranked first in this weight class, fought the second ranked Bahraini, Mohammed Aloif.

Nagy Yazbek, who won the International Judo Federation title as the best player to achieve full winning points, faces the “Technical Knockout – Ebon” 2025. With the winner of the match, An Jae-ho, player of the Republic of Korea, and Hong Kong champion Mak Nin, “weight 73 kg”. Reaching the match between Talal Shufaili and the Indian champion Tokas Harsh, under 81 kg, and his colleague Omar Jad with the winner of the match between the Indian Adita Solanki. Kyrgyzstan’s champion is also Mazgan Tebegin, “under 81 kg”.
