Abu Dhabi, UAE – His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, received His Excellency Ayman Safadi, the Jordanian Minister of Foreign Affairs. They discussed the fraternal relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen them. In addition, they discussed the latest regional and international developments. These included the latest developments in the region and their implications for security and stability.
Condemnation of regional attacks
Abdullah bin Zayed and Ayman Safadi condemned what they described as Iranian missile attacks targeting the UAE and several other brotherly and friendly nations. They affirmed that these attacks constitute a blatant violation of state sovereignty, international law, and the UN Charter. Furthermore, both sides emphasized that these attacks pose a threat to international maritime security, energy supplies, and the global economy.
Mutual solidarity between the UAE and Jordan
Safadi affirmed the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan’s full solidarity with the United Arab Emirates in confronting any threats to its security and sovereignty. For his part, Abdullah bin Zayed expressed his appreciation for this stance. In addition, he noted the deep fraternal ties that bind the two countries and their commitment to strengthening joint cooperation across various fields.

The meeting addressed developments related to the ceasefire agreement between the United States and Iran. In addition, the two sides discussed the situations in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and Jerusalem. Both sides emphasized the importance of intensifying international efforts to bolster the humanitarian response. They also supported the path to peaceful solutions that achieve security and stability in the region.
