Dubai, UAE – The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) in Dubai, in collaboration with the Knowledge Fund Foundation, has announced the opening of registration for the third edition of the “Dubai Outstanding Students Program” for the 2026-2027 academic year. The program offers 333 scholarships for outstanding Emirati students in 19 private schools. Furthermore, it covers 50% of tuition fees.
Diverse educational opportunities
The program offers a variety of educational options for Emirati families, including British, American, and International Baccalaureate curricula. It also offers dual curricula, allowing students to choose the educational path best suited to their aspirations. Moreover, the program reflects the city’s, particularly Dubai’s, focus on enhancing the quality of education and expanding access to distinguished educational institutions. This aligns with the objectives of Dubai Plan 2033. It also supports the Education Strategy.
Admission requirements and criteria
The organizers have set a number of admission requirements, most notably that the student be an Emirati citizen with a valid family book, and be enrolled in grades 1-10 or their equivalent. A minimum grade of 90% in the American or government curriculum is also required. Furthermore, equivalent grades in the International Baccalaureate and the British curriculum must be obtained. In addition, students must pass assessment tests and interviews in Dubai.
Government-Private Partnership
The program is a public-private partnership aimed at empowering outstanding students and developing their skills, thus enhancing their readiness for admission to prestigious international universities. Officials emphasized that investing in Emirati talent is a cornerstone of supporting the knowledge economy. It also contributes to preparing a generation capable of leading future development. Dubai remains a key hub for instilling national values and identity within the educational environment.
