Abu Dhabi, UAE – His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE, discussed, during telephone conversations with a number of officials and foreign ministers of sisterly and friendly countries, developments in the regional situation.

This comes as Iran’s brutal and terrorist missile attacks continue, targeting the UAE and a number of sister countries.

His Highness held telephone discussions with His Excellency Dr. Subramnyam Jaishankar, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of India. His Excellency Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Residing Abroad of the Kingdom of Morocco. His Excellency Pekka Haavisto, UN Secretary-General’s Envoy to Sudan.

During the contacts, they discussed the effects of these developments on the security and stability of the region, and their negative repercussions on the global economy and the security of energy supplies.

They expressed their strong condemnation of these brutal and terrorist missile attacks.

etc.. They stressed that it represents a flagrant violation of the principles of international law and the United Nations Charter, and a direct threat to the security, sovereignty and stability of countries in the region.

They stressed the right of the countries that were subjected to these attacks to take the necessary measures to protect their sovereignty and territorial integrity, and to preserve the security of their citizens, residents and visitors, in accordance with the provisions of international law.

During the calls, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan also expressed his appreciation for the solidarity shown by brotherly and friendly countries towards the UAE, stressing the safety of all residents and visitors on its territory.

During the phone calls, ways to enhance international cooperation and intensify joint efforts were also discussed.

Which contributes to maintaining regional and international security and stability.

On the other hand, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, during the phone call with His Excellency Nasser Bourita, extended his sincere congratulations and blessings to the sisterly Kingdom of Morocco on the occasion of the Moroccan national football team’s victory in the 2025 African Cup of Nations.
