Abu Dhabi, UAE – In a day that reflected the magnitude of sacrifices and military vigilance, the UAE Ministry of defense announced today, Monday, the martyrdom of two brave members of the Armed Forces.

Their helicopter crashed due to a technical malfunction while they were performing their national duty within the country.

The Ministry mourned the two martyrs with profound sorrow and offered its deepest condolences to their families, praying to God Almighty to grant them His mercy, admit them to Paradise, and grant their families patience and solace.

Repelling a large-scale attack

On the defensive operations front, the Ministry of Defense announced the success of

air defense systems in countering a series of intense hostile attacks today.

The statement explained that air defenses detected 15 ballistic missiles,

successfully destroying 12 of them, while three fell into the sea without causing any damage.

The day also saw the interception of 17 out of 18 detected drones, with one drone crashing within the country’s territory.

The outcome of the ongoing Iranian aggression

In a statistical statement revealing the extent of the ongoing threats,

the Ministry reviewed the total number of blatant Iranian attacks targeting the country since the escalation began.

The figures reflect the exceptional efficiency of the interception systems:

Ballistic missiles: 253 missiles were detected, of which 233 were destroyed, 18 fell into the sea, and 2 landed on land.

Drones: 1,440 Iranian drones were detected, 1,359 of which were successfully intercepted, while 81 landed within the country.

Cruise missiles: Air defenses successfully detected and completely destroyed 8 cruise missiles.

Human losses and demographic diversity of those affected

These brutal attacks resulted in the martyrdom of four people of Pakistani, Nepalese, and Bangladeshi nationalities.

They also resulted in 117 minor injuries, affecting a wide range of residents and visitors from over 25 nationalities,

including Emirati, Egyptian, Sudanese, Lebanese, Palestinian, and Jordanian, as well as other Asian and African nationalities.

This demonstrates the indiscriminate nature of these attacks, which spare no one.

Emphasis on readiness and sovereignty

The Ministry of Defense concluded its statement by affirming its continued readiness and full preparedness to address any potential threats.

It emphasized its unwavering commitment to confronting any attempt to undermine the security or stability of the state,

reiterating its absolute dedication to safeguarding national sovereignty and protecting the vital resources

and interests of the state, its people, and all those residing within its borders.
