Abu Dhabi, UAE – UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan discussed the Iranian attacks targeting the UAE and several other Arab states during a phone call with Paraguayan President Santiago Peña.

They also discussed regional developments in light of the escalating military tensions in the region.

Furthermore, they talked about the implications of these developments for regional and international security and stability.

Paraguay’s solidarity with the UAE

During the call, the President of Paraguay expressed his country’s solidarity with the UAE and condemned the attacks targeting its territory.

He emphasized that these attacks constitute a serious violation of the state’s sovereignty

and a direct threat to the region’s security and stability.

Peña noted that his country is following the ongoing developments in the region with concern.

He also stressed the importance of respecting the sovereignty of states.

In addition, he urged avoiding further jeopardizing regional security amidst the continued military escalation.

Emirati thanks for supportive stances

For his part, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed expressed his gratitude and appreciation for Paraguay’s supportive stance towards the UAE.

He emphasized the importance of international positions that reject aggression and support regional stability.

He affirmed that the UAE is committed to working with its regional and international partners to safeguard security and stability.

Furthermore, he noted that international cooperation is essential in addressing the security challenges currently facing the region.

Call for diplomatic solutions

During the call, both sides agreed on the necessity of returning to the political process

and prioritizing diplomatic solutions to avoid further escalation.

They affirmed that these actions would contribute to the protection of security and stability in the region and the world.

They also stressed the importance of intensifying international efforts aimed at reducing tensions and preventing the conflict from spreading.

This is especially important given the growing concerns about the repercussions of military escalation on regional stability and the global economy.

This call comes at a time of escalating tensions in the region following a series of attacks and reciprocal military operations.

As a result, this tension has prompted several countries to call for restraint and a return to political dialogue to prevent the confrontation from widening.
