Washington, DC – US President Donald Trump affirmed that his country will not allow Iran to possess nuclear weapons.
He also emphasized that the US position on this issue remains firm
in light of developments related to Tehran’s military and nuclear capabilities.
Trump added that the current situation in Iran does not put it in a suitable position for negotiations,
referring to what he described as the decline in its military capabilities as a result of recent developments on the ground.
Nuclear inspections inside Iran
US President Donald Trump explained that nuclear inspection teams would be on the ground inside Iran at the appropriate time.
This would ensure close monitoring of nuclear activities and verification of compliance with international standards.
The American message to Tehran
Trump warned that any Iranian move toward escalation or “trouble” would,
in his words, lead Iran to seek nuclear weapons. He deemed this an absolutely unacceptable option.
A firm stance on the nuclear issue
Trump emphasized that US policy toward Iran is based on preventing it from acquiring nuclear weapons capabilities.
He affirmed that Washington will continue to exert pressure to prevent any development in this direction,
given the ongoing regional tensions related to the Iranian nuclear program.
