During the call, the Bangladeshi Prime Minister affirmed his country’s condemnation of the Iranian attacks targeting the UAE and several other brotherly nations in the region, expressing his country’s full solidarity with the UAE in all measures it takes to protect its sovereignty, security, territorial integrity, and the safety of its citizens.

For his part, the President of the UAE expressed his gratitude and appreciation for Bangladesh’s supportive stance and solidarity with his country in these circumstances.

Call for diplomatic solutions

Both sides agreed on the need for an immediate cessation of military escalation in the region, stressing that continued tensions could have serious repercussions for regional and global security.

They also emphasized the importance of returning to dialogue and diplomatic means to address various contentious issues, thereby contributing to calming the situation and achieving stability in the region.

This call comes as part of a series of international contacts being made by world leaders to discuss ways to contain the military escalation in the Middle East and work to reduce rising tensions.
