Abu Dhabi, UAE – The Ministries of Education and Higher Education and Scientific Research announced the continuation of the decision to switch to distance learning until Friday, March 6, 2026. The decision includes all students and educational and administrative staff in public and private schools and universities across the country.

Details of the decision

The two ministries clarified that the decision encompasses all educational levels and academic institutions. They also emphasized that this measure is taken to ensure the safety of students, teachers, and administrative staff, given the current circumstances which necessitate enhanced preventative measures.

Assessing the situation in the future

The two ministries added that the situation will be reassessed in the coming days to take any further measures if needed. This is to ensure the safe and effective continuation of the educational process.

Ensuring the continuity of education

The relevant authorities confirmed that distance learning is part of the efforts to ensure the continuity of the educational process without exposing students or staff in educational institutions to any risks. They indicated that all digital educational resources are available to students. This is to ensure the continuity of learning and assessment remotely.
