Abu Dhabi, UAE – His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, received a phone call today from His Excellency Ahmed Al-Sharaa, President of the Syrian Arab Republic. The call addressed the fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to enhance joint cooperation in various fields. This aims to serve the interests of both peoples and support development and stability.

During the call, the two sides discussed a number of regional issues and developments of mutual interest, most notably the latest developments in the region and the efforts being made to address them. This contributes to consolidating regional security and stability and enhances opportunities for peace and development for the peoples of the region.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan affirmed the UAE’s commitment to supporting all efforts that benefit the brotherly Syrian people and fulfill their aspirations for development and reconstruction. He also emphasized the UAE’s unwavering support for Syria’s unity, sovereignty, security, and stability. The UAE stands with the Syrian people in their pursuit of a secure and stable future.

For his part, His Excellency President Ahmed Al-Sharaa expressed his appreciation for the UAE’s fraternal support for Syria and its people, acknowledging the UAE’s role in supporting efforts to promote peace, security, and stability in the region. He also commended the UAE’s support for development and reconstruction initiatives.

This call comes within the framework of ongoing communication between the leaderships of the two countries, reflecting the depth of the fraternal relations that bind the United Arab Emirates and the Syrian Arab Republic. It also underscores the shared commitment to developing and strengthening relations across various political, economic, and humanitarian fields. This serves common interests and contributes to supporting regional stability.

Both sides emphasized the importance of continued coordination and consultation on regional and international issues, and of strengthening joint Arab action to address current challenges. This aims to fulfill the aspirations of the Arab peoples for security, development, and lasting peace.
