Dubai, UAE – International travelers have selected Abu Dhabi and Dubai as one of their top travel destinations for 2026.

This is according to the classification of the «TripAdviser» platform, which specializes in travel and tourism affairs, into preferred destinations according to travelers’ choices.

The platform ranked Abu Dhabi eighth globally on the list «most popular destinations», which includes 25 global destinations.

The platform described Abu Dhabi as combining modernity and heritage, and characterized by a rich history.

She pointed to a number of distinguished destinations, such as Saadiyat Island, Heritage Village, and others.

The platform described Abu Dhabi as combining modernity and heritage and characterized by a rich history.

She pointed to a number of distinguished destinations, such as Saadiyat Island, Heritage Village, and others.

This list was chosen by monitoring the choices of travelers and those who share their opinions and stories about travel destinations.

Therefore, destinations with the highest number of positive reviews and opinions are awarded the Best Traveler’s Choice award.

The platform indicated that choosing Abu Dhabi on the most popular list is due to the museums that Abu Dhabi is building, which are comparable to the capitals of culture in the world.

These museums, including the Zayed National Museum and the Louvre Abu Dhabi, have transformed Saadiyat Island into an influential cultural force.

Besides, it dwarfs a world-class shopping and hospitality experience.

Abu Dhabi’s landmarks topped the choices of travelers around the world in 2025, according to the «TripAdviser» platform.

«Ferrari World – Abu Dhabi» came in first place globally on the list of the most attractive global cities and theme parks to visit during the current year.

«Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque» in Abu Dhabi has also advanced two places to reserve a place on the list of the most attractive tourist attractions to visit.

It topped the Middle East countries and ranked eighth globally, after analyzing more than 8 million landmarks in the world, and the announcement was not far from the list of the most favorite landmarks for travelers from «TripAdvisor» for the year 2026.

According to data from the World Travel and Tourism Council, international visitor spending in the UAE reached a record level of AED 228.5 billion in 2025.

An increase of 37% from its previous peak in 2019, and a growth of 5% compared to international visitor spending in 2024.

Today, the UAE is one of the top 7 global destinations in international tourist spending.
