Abu Dhabi, UAE – The United Arab Emirates has announced its participation in the “Gulf Shield 2026” military exercises, hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with the participation of several Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. This comes within the framework of strengthening joint defense cooperation and raising the combat readiness of the participating forces.
Military officials confirmed that the UAE’s participation is in line with its steadfast approach to supporting the regional security system. It also aims to develop operational capabilities through joint training exercises. These exercises simulate modern and diverse scenarios, including air defense, land and sea operations, and promote joint coordination in crisis management.
The “Gulf Shield 2026” exercises aim to exchange military expertise and unify combat concepts. They also aim to enhance teamwork among Gulf forces, thereby improving planning and execution efficiency. Furthermore, they seek to achieve the highest levels of field coordination in confronting potential security challenges.
