Dubai, United Arab Emirates – The UAE national under-16 Jiu-Jitsu team raised its tally to 11 medals in the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship.
Which is hosted by the Thai capital, Bangkok.
After the national team players succeeded, on Sunday, in adding four new medals in fights in the under-16 category.
With a silver medal and three bronze medals, to be added to the seven medals won the day before yesterday.
Sarah Farouk won the silver medal in the (48 kg) weight category.
While Mithail Al Hammadi and Ghayhab Al Rashidi won bronze in weight (36 kg), and Maitha Al Karbi won bronze in weight (40 kg).
With these results, the total number of medals achieved by the UAE national team in the U-16 junior category rises to 11 medals.
Two gold, three silver, and six bronze.
To confirm his strong presence and continued competition for advanced positions within this global event.
For his part, Abdullah Salem Al Zaabi, Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications at the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, praised the outstanding performance and advanced level presented by the UAE champions during the second day of the competitions.
He stressed that the skill, confidence and discipline shown by the players reflects the advanced status that women’s Jiu-Jitsu has reached in the country.
The national team is preparing for the start of the youth category for boys under 18 years of age, on Monday.
The champions are looking forward to continuing their journey of brilliance and enhancing the UAE’s medal tally on the way to competing for the title.
