Dubai, United Arab Emirates – The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, represented by the Ministry’s Youth Council, organized a series of innovative and diverse events to celebrate International Youth Day. This day falls on August 12th of each year. The aim is to highlight the pivotal role of youth in the sustainable development process. It also aims to encourage them to innovate and actively participate in achieving the country’s future goals.
The event included a dialogue session titled “From the Leader, the Journey Begins.” His Excellency Engineer Yousef Abdullah, Assistant Undersecretary for the Federal Infrastructure Projects Sector, spoke about the role of leadership role models. These role models inspire younger generations and motivate them to excel.
Training workshop
The Ministry’s Happiness and Quality of Life Team also organized a training workshop titled “Knowledge with Joy.” The workshop was organized in collaboration with the Falaj Al Mualla Youth Center. It brought together young people in an interactive setting. The goal was to foster team spirit, encourage creative initiatives, and spread positive energy among employees and community members.
His Excellency Yousef Abdullah emphasized that International Youth Day represents a global occasion. It reflects the wise leadership’s belief in the role of youth as a key partner in shaping the future. He pointed out that supporting and empowering them represents a strategic priority for the government. Youth are the primary driver of development and progress.
His Excellency added: “The activities organized by the Ministry’s Youth Council embody the Ministry’s commitment to translating the leadership’s vision into practical initiatives. These activities provide youth with platforms to exchange ideas and experiences. They also help them develop their skills and motivate them to innovate and participate in shaping the future. This aligns with the objectives of “We the Emirates Vision 2031.” This vision aligns with the country’s vision to consolidate its leading global position.”
