Closing of the activities of the "Liwa Ajman Moisture and Honey Festival 2025"

Ajman, United Arab Emirates – The activities of the tenth session of the “Liwa Ajman Moisture and Honey” Festival, organized by the Department of Tourism Development in the emirate, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, concluded in the Emirates Guest Hall from July 30 to August 3.

The current session witnessed wide Gulf participation, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Sultanate of Oman, Jordan and Egypt, in addition to an elite group of participants from governmental and private agencies, which consolidates the festival’s position as a leading regional platform for celebrating agricultural and heritage production, and enhancing cultural communication between the peoples of Arab countries.

This year’s activities included various activities, including artistic and entertainment shows and numerous community competitions, targeting different age groups and segments, in addition to educational sessions on palm cultivation and beekeeping methods and training workshops on local handicrafts, in addition to a corner dedicated to children that included artistic activities, competitions and educational activities.

His Excellency Mahmoud Khalil Al Hashemi, Director General of the Department of Tourism Development in Ajman, said: “The Liwa Ajman Moisture and Honey Festival, with its remarkable success today and reaching its tenth year, proves its importance as a cultural platform that contributes to immortalizing the local heritage heritage and supports farmers, beekeepers and local project owners, strengthening the emirate’s position as a prominent destination for heritage events.”

He added: “We, at the Department of Tourism Development in Ajman, are keen in each session to expand and diversify the agenda of events, develop content and achieve broad local and regional community participation, which embodies our keenness to highlight Ajman’s role as an emirate that preserves the Emirati identity and authentic values, and seeks to pass them on to future generations.”

The festival provided multiple training workshops, including a workshop on drawing on palm trunks, a workshop on making medals with wicker, a workshop on coloring with diamonds, a workshop on decorating saddle fans, a workshop on drawing on Juffair bags and many others, in addition to daily auctions to sell dates, honey and heritage antiques, part of the proceeds of which will be allocated to charitable works, and heritage festivals that highlight Emirati culture.

This year’s events achieved wide turnout from various emirates of the country, and included various competitions in several categories, including the Emirate of Ajman, the Northern Emirates, and other emirates, citrus fruits, and honey decoration, as the date competitions included the most famous varieties, such as Khalas, Barhi, Lulu, Khunaizi, and Ajman palm trees, and the honey competitions included Samar, crystallized, Sidr, wax disc, and others, while the fruit category covered lemons, mangoes, almonds, figs, and citrus fruits.

The tenth session of the festival was attended by 61 exhibitors from different emirates of the country, including farmers, beekeepers, entrepreneurs, and owners of small and medium enterprises, in addition to representatives from a number of governmental and private entities, in a heritage and interactive atmosphere that contributes to raising awareness of the ancient heritage of the Emirate of Ajman, enhancing its authentic identity, and consolidating its pioneering position as a preferred tourist and cultural destination in the region and the world.
