Dubai Dates concludes its second edition with remarkable success

Festival organizers confirmed that the second edition of the Dubai Date Festival has succeeded in establishing itself as an annual initiative that combines the spirit of heritage with the innovation of the future.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates – Dubai Dates concluded its second edition, organized by the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Centre from July 25 to August 1, 2025, at Al Ramal Fort on Dubai Road – Al Ain, with wide participation from palm owners, local producers and productive families, in addition to a remarkable official and popular presence.

The second session confirmed the success of the event as an annual station that brings together heritage and innovation, and honors the palm tree as a national symbol that reflects Emirati identity and promotes the principle of sustainability.

Winners crowned

The closing day witnessed the crowning of the first-place finishers in the “Rarity Cup” round, and His Excellency Omar bin Sultan Al Ulama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications, Director of the Office of the Crown Prince of Dubai, His Excellency Issa Mohammed Khalifa Al Mutioui, Deputy Director General of the Court of His Highness the Ruler of Dubai, and His Excellency Abdullah Hamdan bin Dalmouk, CEO of the Hamdan bin Mohammed Center for Heritage Revival.

Dubai Dates Medal 2025

In a gesture of loyalty and gratitude, Dubai Dates awarded the Dubai Dates Medal 2025 to the late Salem Mohammed Ghanem bin Al Sheikh and Sultan bin Khalifa Al Habtoor, in recognition of their influential contributions to preserving the palm heritage and their continuous support for this vital sector. The sponsors and supporters who contributed to the success of the event were also honored.

His Excellency Abdullah Hamdan bin Dalmouk expressed his pride in what Dubai Dates has achieved, noting that the event “has become a well-established annual platform that enhances the social and cultural value of the palm tree, and supports the country’s orientations towards preserving the national heritage and Emirati identity”.

The festival witnessed a large audience attendance, and hosted dozens of platforms that displayed the finest types of dates and rare palm seedlings, in addition to organizing awareness and cultural workshops and exhibitions.

A number of educational and heritage organizations participated in the events, offering field and interactive workshops on palm tree care methods and encouraging the new generation to pay attention to this essential component of Emirati heritage.
