Washington, United States – US media reported Thursday that the federal agency responsible for maintaining and designing the nation’s nuclear arsenal has already been affected by a government shutdown. This shutdown was recently announced by US President Donald Trump.

She confirmed that the United States will begin laying off employees at the federal agency responsible for maintaining and designing the nation’s nuclear arsenal, starting Friday, if the government shutdown continues.

She confirmed that the United States will begin laying off employees at the federal agency responsible for maintaining and designing the nation’s nuclear arsenal, starting Friday, if the government shutdown continues.

“If this situation continues for a long time, they may get other jobs,” he added.

They will stop their efforts to modernize our nuclear weapons, to ensure our country’s sovereignty, which we should not compromise.”

Wright emphasized that they will be forced to make these decisions if the shutdown continues. He added that this step could impact efforts to modernize the United States‘ nuclear weapons stockpile.

The National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), a quasi-independent arm of the Department of Energy, is responsible for the production and dismantling of nuclear weapons. It also supplies the Navy with nuclear reactors for submarines, responds to radiological emergencies, and performs other tasks.

The agency also plays a major role in counterterrorism, transporting nuclear weapons across the country, and responding to nuclear accidents around the world.
