Dubai, United Arab Emirates – The Indian company “Omega Seki Mobility”, which specializes in manufacturing electric vehicles, announced the launch of its first industrial facility outside India. This facility will assemble electric vehicles in the Jebel Ali “Javza” free zone. The investment for this is 92 million dirhams over five years.

The facility, which is the first of its kind in Jafza in the field of electric vehicles, extends over an area of more than 42,000 square feet. It will undertake the assembly of two- and three-wheeled electric Omega Seki Mobility vehicles. In addition, it will store and distribute car components and spare parts. The facility is expected to begin its work by the end of 2025.

Thanks to its strategic location, the facility will serve export markets in the Middle East and Africa region. It will provide more than 100 job opportunities in the first phase. Moreover, it will contribute to strengthening trade relations between the UAE and India in the field of environmentally friendly technology.

Qualitative value

Abdullah Al Hashemi, Chief Operating Officer, Free Zones and Complexes at DB World GCC, said the facility adds qualitative value to the innovative mobility ecosystem and strengthens Dubai’s position as a global hub for the automotive sector. Manufacturers are increasingly turning to JAFZA to take advantage of rapid growth opportunities in the Middle East, Africa and other regions. He pointed out that the value of the electric vehicle market in the Middle East and North Africa region will reach 14.5 billion US dollars by 2029. This growth is due to supportive government policies, high demand, and expanding infrastructure.

Uday Narang, Founder and Chairman of Omega Seiki Mobility, praised JAFZA’s business connectivity capabilities to more than two billion consumers. He appreciated the business environment that enables companies to expand quickly, efficiently and sustainably. Omega Seiki aims to provide environmentally friendly mobility solutions to partners in the Middle East and Africa from Dubai. They also want to do this in a commercially viable way.

He explained that the company also plans to introduce models powered by compressed natural gas in some African markets. This fuel represents a practical solution as an environmentally friendly alternative in many regions. This will be useful until the infrastructure for electric cars is better developed.

Omega Seki Mobility’s product range includes the (OSM Rage+) three-wheeled vehicle intended for freight, and the (OSM Stream) three-wheeled vehicle intended for passengers. Omega Seki Mobility has more than 160 agencies in India. The company sells more than 20,000 vehicles spread across Indian roads. They have obtained accreditation certificates from recognized testing bodies such as the ICAT International Automobile Center and the Indian Automotive Research Institute ARAI. Omega Seki Mobility is accredited on Dubai as a global starting point for environmentally friendly mobility solutions.
