Amman, Jordan – Jordanian cybersecurity teams today thwarted a cyberattack by Iranian entities targeting the country’s national wheat silos. The attack aimed to disrupt food supplies and potentially trigger a crisis in the Kingdom.
Official sources reported that the attack involved advanced malware that attempted to infiltrate the silos’ electronic control systems. However, security teams immediately countered the attack, protecting vital data and the supply chain from any potential damage.
Experts indicate that such attacks on strategic facilities have become part of regional pressure tactics. They also emphasize that Jordan has strengthened its digital defense capabilities to ensure national food security, particularly in light of escalating tensions in the region.
