Dubai, United Arab Emirates – In a new achievement that reflects the UAE’s leadership in healthcare innovation, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) has listed the Emirates Health Services Corporation’s project, “An Artificial Intelligence-Powered Website for the Government Health System.” The international report, “AI for Good – Innovation for Impact 2025,” documents the best uses of AI to serve communities.

Her Excellency Mubaraka Ibrahim, Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer and Acting Chief Information Officer at the Emirates Health Services Corporation, emphasized that the corporation is proud to be part of the global healthcare innovation landscape. She explained that this achievement is a culmination of the corporation’s efforts to adopt and develop advanced digital solutions based on artificial intelligence technologies. Furthermore, this contributes to improving the quality of life for customers and providing a smarter, more personalized, and more comprehensive healthcare experience.

Employing artificial intelligence technologies

The international report “Artificial Intelligence for Good – Innovation for Impact 2025” highlights the foundation’s project. The project represents an innovative model for employing AI technologies to enhance access to healthcare services. The project offers personalized content and intelligent recommendations. It also focuses on providing people of determination and users with limited internet connectivity with simplified and interactive interfaces that operate without the need for human intervention.

The Foundation, represented by Ms. Amal Karmostaji, Director of the Technical Support Department, accepted the organizers’ invitation to attend the “Global AI for Good Summit.” This summit is a neutral and prestigious platform for facilitating knowledge exchange and promoting international cooperation in the field of AI applications with a humanitarian dimension. It was organized by the United Nations in cooperation with the Government of Switzerland in Geneva. Karmostaji participated in the summit alongside a group of elite decision-makers and experts from more than 50 countries and international organizations.

Karmustaji explained that this international recognition reflects the corporation’s commitment to comprehensive digital transformation. It also underscores its contribution to providing smart and secure services that enhance the efficiency of the healthcare sector and improve customer experience, while maintaining the highest standards of governance and data protection in accordance with national legislation. The “AI for Good” report is an internationally recognized reference, showcasing the best smart applications that serve humanity and contribute to accelerating progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals. This year, the report included more than 160 pioneering projects from 32 countries around the world. This confirms the active presence of the Emirates Health Services Corporation in shaping the future of healthcare at the international level. It also underscores its role in consolidating the UAE’s position as a leading global center for government innovation and the adoption of technology for good.
