Manchester, England – Manchester United achieved their first victory in the English Premier League this season, after turning their deficit against Ipswich Town into a resounding 5-2 win, during the match that brought the two teams together on Sunday evening as part of the second round of the competition.
Ipswich started the match strongly, and managed to open the scoring in the 29th minute through Leif Davies, putting the home side under early pressure.
Manchester United needed just 11 minutes to get back into the game, with Bruno Fernandes scoring the equalizer in the 40th minute, ending the first half with a 1-1 score.
As the second half began, the home side regained the initiative, with Jacob Greaves adding Manchester United’s second goal in the 57th minute, before Fernandes returned to score again four minutes later, netting his team’s third goal.
The Portuguese star completed his brilliance by scoring United’s fourth goal in the 68th minute, completing his personal hat-trick and giving his team a significant advantage in the score.

In stoppage time, Chuba Akpom narrowed the gap by scoring Ipswich Town’s second goal, but the goal did not change the result of the match, which ended with Manchester United winning 5-2.
Manchester United raised their tally to 3 points to occupy tenth place in the English Premier League standings, while Ipswich Town have the same tally in twelfth place.
