Ankara, Turkey – Turkish club Besiktas is close to finalizing a deal to sign Egyptian star Mohamed Salah during the current summer transfer window, after negotiations witnessed new developments in recent hours.
The negotiations had stalled due to a dispute over the commission of Ramy Abbas, Mohamed Salah’s agent, as Turkish reports indicated that he had requested a percentage of 35% of the total value of the contract, while Besiktas insisted that the commission should not exceed 15%.
The Turkish newspaper “Sözcü” reported that the agent of the Egyptian national team captain showed flexibility during the recent negotiations, after agreeing to review his financial demands, which helped bring the viewpoints of all parties closer.
The newspaper added that the agreement is close to completion, after most of the contract terms were finalized, with only the final touches remaining on some details before the contracts are officially signed.
She explained that the management of Turkish Besiktas is preparing to announce the deal as soon as the final agreement with Ramy Abbas is completed, thus bringing to a close one of the most prominent deals of the summer transfer window, if it is officially completed.
