Philadelphia, USA – Brazil boosted its chances of qualifying for the round of 32 of the 2026 World Cup, after achieving a well-deserved victory over Haiti with three goals to nil, in the second round of Group C.

The Brazilian national team put on a strong performance against Haiti, securing their first victory in the tournament after a draw in the opening round, and putting themselves in a favorable position before the final round of the group stage.

Matheus Cunha was the star of the match, after scoring two goals that gave the “Seleção” a comfortable advantage, while Vinicius Junior added the third goal to confirm the superiority of the Brazilian team and secure the three points.

With this victory, Brazil raised its tally to 4 points to top Group C on goal difference ahead of Morocco, which has the same number of points after its win over Scotland.

Meanwhile, Scotland’s tally remained at 3 points, placing them third in the group. Haiti, on the other hand, remained without a point after suffering their second consecutive defeat, significantly diminishing their hopes of advancing in the World Cup.

The results of the second round have ignited the competition within Group C, where the battle for the two qualifying spots remains open before the final round, with a relative advantage for Brazil and Morocco, who hold their fate in their own hands.

All eyes are on the decisive round that will officially determine the qualifiers, in one of the most competitive and exciting groups of the tournament so far.
