Liverpool manager Arne Sloat commented on the atmosphere surrounding the farewell of Egyptian star Mohamed Salah and his teammate Andrew Robertson to the Reds fans during the match against Brentford at the end of the English Premier League season.
A 1-1 draw was the result of the match between Liverpool and Brentford, which took place on Sunday evening at Anfield Stadium, as part of the final round of the Premier League.
“The celebration came exactly as we expected,” Slot said in comments reported by the BBC after the match.
He added: “The fans always find a special way to celebrate beautiful and special moments, as they are two legends who have won nine titles over the past nine years”.
The Dutch coach spoke about the upcoming season, saying: “Last season saw a number of players join, and when everyone becomes available, the situation will be different. Every club will sign one or two players, and we will do the same”.
Slott concluded his remarks by saying: “We need all the players to be ready, and then our results will improve even more”.
