London, England – Hull City have returned to the English Premier League after a 10-year absence. This came after their dramatic 1-0 victory over Middlesbrough in the Championship play-off final.
Oliver McBurnie scored the only goal of the game in the 94th minute, capitalizing on a glaring error by Middlesbrough goalkeeper Sol Breen. The match was played at Wembley Stadium.
Hull City secured the third promotion spot to the Premier League after finishing sixth in the Championship, before overcoming Millwall and then Middlesbrough in the play-offs.
Hull City will be joined by Coventry City and Ipswich Town in the Premier League next season.
